چکیده
MAST-SEY is an open-source Monte Carlo code capable of calculating secondary electron emission using input data generated entirely from first principle (density functional theory) calculations. It utilizes the complex dielectric function and Penn’s theory for inelastic scattering processes, relativistic Schrödinger by means a partial-wave expansion method to govern elastic scattering. allows user include explicitly calculated momentum dependence function, as well utilize first-principle density states in generation, which provides more complete description underlying physics. In this paper we thoroughly describe theoretical aspects modeling, used code, present sample results obtained copper aluminum.

Influence of the Electric Field on Secondary Electron Emission Yield
We present results of the investigation of secondary electron emission from spherical amorphous carbon grains of 3 to 6 micrometers in diameter affected by a high surface field. In our experiment, we have applied a technique based on levitation of a single charged grain in the quadrupole trap. This grain was charged by an electron beam with an energy tunable up to 10 keV. During this process, t...
متن کاملTotal skin electron therapy (TSET): Monte Carlo Simulation and implementation
Introduction: Total skin electron irradiation technique is used in treatment of the mycosis fungoid. The implementation of this technique requires non-standard measurements and complex dosimetry methods. Operating procedures for total skin electron irradiation and its dosimetry vary in different radiation therapy centers in the world. In this article, validation of TSET techniq...
متن کاملSecondary electron emission studies
Secondary-electron-emission processes under electron bombardment play an important role in the performance of a variety of electron devices. While in some devices, the anode and the grid require materials that suppress the secondary-electron-generation process, the crossed-field amplifier (CFA) is an example where the cathode requires an efficient secondaryelectron-emission material. Secondary-...
متن کاملComparison of Secondary Electron Emission simulation to experiment
The secondary electron emission (SEE) yields were calculated for various materials and a good comparison has been obtained with the experimental data for gold measured at ANL. The calculation method uses Monte Carlo simulation, empirical theories, and close comparison to experiment, in order to parameterize the SEE yields of highly emissive materials for microchannel plates. The simulation resu...
متن کاملCalculation of Secondary Electron Emission Yield From MgO Surface
Secondary electron emission yield values for rare-gas particles (He, Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe ions of atoms and molecules, metastable atoms, and excimers) of MgO deposited under optimum conditions for the highest values were calculated assuming the Auger transitions between the valence band, and the (oxygen ion vacancy + two electrons) and + (oxygen ion vacancy + one electron) centers in the MgO surf...
